CROSS FLOW™: A CLEANER BRAND OF TECHNOLOGY Increased efficiency enables a much smaller fan to create far greater airflow. The small size plus the air-induction effect of the Cross Flow™ fan, provides a wide open supply of inlet air, which gives the machine low-velocity incoming airflow with no suction effect. Just as the rotor of the rotary combine revolutionized the threshing and separating of grain, our patented Cross Flow cleaning fan sets a new technology level in cleaning systems. Cross Flow fan technology uses a patented chevron-patterned design that delivers an extremely uniform airflow across the entire sieve, maximizing the effectiveness of each increment of cleaning area. Gone are the "hot spots" and low-pressure zones of other designs. The key to the fan’s performance is its ability to create a "vortex" in its center, drawing in and sending out large volumes of air. Rather than drawing air through restrictive end openings in conventional centrifugal designs, the Cross Flow fan draws air in across the entire open area of the blades. The unique aerodynamic action of the vortex even reduces horsepower requirements AND noise. In addition to providing a clean grain sample and reducing grain loss, the uniformity of the airflow offered by this system reduces adjustment of both fan speed and sieve settings.
