9300 Family

If your operation calls for the size and power of a 4WD tractor, the 9300 Series from Case IH has something special to offer. The ten workhorses bring substantially more power, performance and flexibility to the 4WD category. The models range from 240 to 425 horsepower, with two Row Crop Special models and the revolutionary new QUADTRAC® tractor which features four independent tracks.

STEIGER 4WD tractors have a compelling performance record and a proud lineage that spans several decades and thousands of satisfied customers worldwide. Like their predecessors, today’s 9300 Series tractors are quality designed and manufactured in Fargo, North Dakota. And like the original STEIGER tractors, today’s 9300 Series feature big power!

These tractors do have the horses. And when one of the 9300 Series tractor engines is lugged down, the engine RPMs drop, power can actually grow above and beyond the tractor’s rated horsepower to pull you through tough spots. Drawbar horsepower shows a similar power growth ability.

These tractors follow a specially balanced weight-to-horsepower ratio to harness power and transform it to traction. Depending on the horsepower, STEIGER tractors incorporate different frame sizes to balance the chasis to the horsepower requirements, a factor that also translates into reliability and durability.

By properly selecting tires and adjusting tire pressures, the tractor’s weight can literally float across the soil for reduced compaction. The new 710/R70 x 38 dual tire option helps improve traction even more and features a 25% deeper lug than the standard R1 tire.

A STEIGER 4WD tractor has superior flotation compared to 2-wheel drive tractors. Weight and pull are evenly distributed with less slippage, less rolling resistance and more drawbar pull.

9300 STEIGER® TRACTORS AT A GLANCE

ENGINE
Fuel efficiency is excellent, thanks to the Case 8.3 L, Cummins N14 and the Cummins M11 engines.

These engines have been carefully matched to provide the optimum balance of torque rise, power curve and fuel economy.

CAB/CONTROLS
The 9300 Series cabs offer a truly panoramic view with 51 square feet (4.73 sq. m) of glass. The cab is especially comfortable with enhanced seat controls. Monitor mounting brackets and cable access have been improved for easier implement and monitor installation. The exhaust has been relocated for improved cab comfort.

TRANSMISSION
The choice of three transmissions gives you greater flexibility in matching your specific applications to the right power. Simple counter shaft design ensures a smooth, efficient power flow.

  • 12-speed SynchroShift standard
  • 24-speed hi-low SynchroShift
  • 12-speed full Powershift

*Note: not all transmissions are available on all models

HITCH, HYDRAULICS & PTO
Add flexibility to your 9330, 9350, 9370, 9380 or QUADTRAC® tractor for handling specialty applications. New controls include easy-to-reach remote switches. Case IH will offer a hitch on the 9380 and 9390 for 1998 production.

Lift capacities from 12,750 to 17,000 lbs. (5783 to 7711 kg) depending on the model. Electronic positioning and the "Hitch Command" rocker switches provide precise, simple control.

System pressure has been increased to 2900 psi (19995 kPa) for faster action, which is especially important for today’s wider implements with phased hydraulic systems and high-pressure requirements. The system is also separate from those used for transmission, and features its own reservoir and cooler for long life.

A 60 gallon hydraulic flow will be offered on 9370, 9380, 9390 and QUADTRAC tractors for 1998 production.

Fully independent 1000 rpm PTO is available as an option on all STEIGER 4WD tractors. PTOs are modular and can be either installed at the factory or in the field.
