TRANSMISSIONS

Three choices to match your operation!

ECONOMICAL 12-SPEED SYNCHROSHIFT TRANSMISSION

The basic synchronized transmission, standard on the four largest STEIGER® tractors, offers the perfect blend of simplicity and performance.

With twelve forward speeds and three reverse, the SynchroShift Transmission covers field speeds from 3 to 8 mph (2.2 to 5.9 kph). Transport speed is nearly 18 mph (13.4 kph). Plus, three reverse speeds allow for easy hookups or fast turnarounds.

You get synchronization in both the speed and range portions of the transmission for smooth, easy sifting during transport.

The SynchroShift transmission uses a wet master clutch for smooth starts in any gear and features excellent inching capabilities for fine-tuned implement hookup. The wet master clutch features eight friction disks and eight separator plates for massive 837 sq. in (0.553 sq. m) of clutch area.

FULLY SYNCHRONIZATION WITH 24 SPEEDS

Gear Shift

The newest transmission offering from Case IH features a fully synchronized SynchroShift with 24 forward speeds and six reverse.

This transmission, available on the four largest STEIGER® tractors, offers 12 speeds in the 3 to 8 mph working range—more than any other transmission available in this category. In addition, speeds are spaced in logical one-half mph increments along the entire range, with no overlaps. The transport speed is 19 mph (14.1 kph).

To operate, simply move the two-position Hi-Low toggle switch to shift up or down on-the-go while under load. Both the speed and range portions of the transmission are synchronized for easy shifting during transport. This transmission uses a wet master clutch for starts in any gear and features excellent inching capabilities for implement hookup.

12-SPEED FULL POWERSHIFT

Gear Shift

Over a decade ago, Case IH pioneered the full powershift transmission for the 4-wheel drive tractor market. It’s fitting then, that this electronically controlled full powershift still offers the ultimate in field performance.

Standard equipment on the 9330 and QUADTRAC® tractors, the powershift transmission features twelve forward and three reverse speeds, evenly and logically spaced. It’s a transmission that’s simple, reliable and efficient. This transmission is available as an option on the 9350, 9370 and 9380.

Plus, the exclusive Skip-Shift™ feature lets you move from lst to 4th to 6th to 8th gear — about 8 mph (5.9 kph) in just three seconds.

To move from one gear to the next, you simply push the shift lever forward or backward. The various combinations of clutch packs provide gear selection and speed ratios.

With six gears in the 3 to 8 mph (2.2 to 5.9 kph) working range, it’s easy to avoid lugging, so you can maintain engine speed and run more efficiently.

Helical gears on the upper transmission shaft provide smooth operation. Designed to handle a wide range of soil types with changing loads, the powershift transmission is ideal for farm operations with multiple operators, or for farmers seeking to maximize their productivity.
