Some Advantages of Tracked Tractors vs. Wheeled Tractors:

  • To give you an example of its superior traction, typically wheel-type tractors operate with ground slippage in the 12 to 16% range. QUADRAC® tractors operate in the 2 to 3% range, under load.
  • QUADTRAC tractors eliminate the need for weighting and ballasting and increase time that can be spent in the field.
  • QUADTRAC tractors are easy to transport. Its narrow, 10-foot wide footprint is much narrower than other wheel-typed tractors with double or triple tire configurations, making it excellent for transporting equipment, going through narrow gateways and conserving winter storage space.
  • On the road, QUADTRAC tractors match transport speeds of rubber-tired tractors. In fact, speeds of up to 20 mph are possible, making movement between fields quicker.
  • If you should ever have to change a track on the QUADTRAC tractor, you can do it in about 45 minutes — less time than it takes to change a tire on a 4WD tractor.
